<  Back to news May 5, 2011

In May 2011 the former Bolton West services on the M61 were demolished and new state of the art motorway services were re-opened, both North and Southbound. The new Rivington services, have brand new forecourts, HGV lanes and 200 parking spaces, plus new facilities, including two 24 hour Spar stores.

Spar, the world’s largest international food retail chain, with 13,600 stores in 33 countries and the UK’s leading convenience symbol group, asked if Signage Systems could help them to brand their new prestigious sites, the first Spar stores to be opened on the UK’s motorway network.

We were delighted to help and successfully manufactured and installed new illuminated gantry signs to welcome customers as they enter the store. Perimeter lettering to identify sections of the stores and branded Spar signs, both illuminated and non-illuminated.
